Who Am I?
Hey — I’m Harvey, founder of Mr Colitis Stoma. But more than that, I’m someone who’s been through it.
Five years ago, I nearly died.
I went into emergency surgery, woke up in intensive care surrounded by machines, tubes, pain — and eventually, a stoma bag. I had sepsis, MRSA, pneumonia, kidney stones, and had dropped to just 35kg. For ten days, I couldn’t even lift my phone.
That stoma saved my life — but it also changed it in every possible way.
The truth? I struggled.
With pain. With identity. With confidence.
I hated what I saw in the mirror some days.
I battled body dysmorphia after gaining weight.
I felt like no one my age was going through this.
But slowly, I rebuilt.
I travelled, I did a half ironman and full ironman, I pushed myself. I found my people. And eventually — I found purpose.
Why I Started This
After surgery, I couldn’t find a stoma belt that worked.
Everything was either stiff, itchy, unadjustable, or just plain ugly.
Nothing helped with bloating. Nothing gave me confidence. Nothing felt made for real life.
So I made my own — for me.
Then others started asking for one.
Now I make them for you.
Who I Am Today
💪 I’m still living with ulcerative colitis.
📈 I’ve built a brand from my hospital bed experience.
🧢 I wear my stoma like a badge of honour — even on the bad days.
🌍 I’ve shipped belts across the world and teamed up with incredible ambassadors.
🎯 I’ve made it my mission to support ostomates everywhere — because no one should feel unsupported in their own skin.
This Brand Is More Than Just Belts
It’s about changing the way the world sees stomas.
It’s about giving people options.
It’s about taking control back.
It’s about community.
It’s about survival — and thriving.
So when you wear one of my belts, know this:
You’re not just wearing support.
You’re wearing strength.
Thanks for Being Here
If you’ve just had surgery, are living with a stoma, or support someone who does — welcome.
This space is for you.
This brand is for you.
And I’m always here to help.
